It was once again another solid week on the diamond for several Blue Sox’ commits. The big performers of the week are RHP Danny Garcia from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire and SS Tyler Simon from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Garcia came out of the bullpen in the 4th inning when his team was down 2-0. He did his job the next four innings by only letting up one hit and striking out four. The Ravens ended up losing 3-2 in 13-inning thriller to Merrimack College.

Simon was near unstoppable this week for the Kennesaw State Owls. The shortstop’s best game came on sunday against NJIT where he went 4 for 5. In four games this week, Simon totaled nine hits, seven runs, seven RBIs, and two home runs.

The Blue Sox open their 2019 season in Oneonta on May 31.
