UTICA, NY — With just a few weeks left until opening day, most Blue Sox have wrapped up their college seasons and finished their classes for the year. However, some players continue to make a championship run with their respective colleges. Two players that have played a huge role in their teams postseason success is Raymond Pacella and Ryan Enos.
Enos led Oswego State to its third-straight SUNYAC championship with a clutch championship game performance. The sophomore 3rd baseman went 3 for 6 with two runs and four RBIs. His biggest hit came in the 8th where Enos crushed a three-run bomb over the left field fence to add some much needed insurance runs in an 11-7 win over Cortland.
Pacella provided for his team on the mound and at the plate during the NJCAA Region XV Championships. Pacella pitched Rockland into the championship by striking out seven over 4.2 innings of work and only allowing one earned run. At the plate he picked up seven hits, five runs, and five RBIs through four games at the regional. Despite the astounding showing out of Pacella, Rockland fell in the Regional Championship this past Saturday.
