Dom enters his third season as the Junior Blue Sox assistant coach in 2025, first in Senior Legion. 

Dom Fasolo, the team’s hitting coach, played an instrumental role in the team’s historic success during the 2024 season. His expertise and dedication to developing each player’s offensive skills were pivotal in transforming the team’s approach at the plate. Under his guidance, the team became more disciplined and strategic in their hitting, leading to a remarkable team batting average of .330 and an on-base percentage of .457.

Fasolo’s emphasis on situational hitting and his ability to tailor his coaching to the strengths of each player allowed the lineup to become a formidable force. The team set a program record with 263 hits, including 58 extra-base hits, and drove in 190 RBIs. His focus on the mental aspect of hitting, encouraging players to stay confident and composed in high-pressure situations, was crucial during the playoff run, where the team faced some of the toughest pitchers in the state.

The hitting coach’s influence was evident in the team’s resilience, particularly after tough losses. His ability to keep the players focused and motivated, regardless of the circumstances, helped them bounce back stronger each time, leading to key victories, especially during the district and state championships. Fasolo’s contributions went beyond just mechanics; he instilled a championship mindset in the hitters, which was vital in their journey to becoming state champions.

Dom Fasolo is a talented baseball player and coach who played three years at Utica University, where he established himself as a key contributor to the team. Over his collegiate career, Fasolo posted a solid .298 batting average, a .414 on-base percentage, and recorded 93 hits, including 9 home runs. His standout season came in 2023, when he achieved a remarkable .384 batting average and a .458 on-base percentage, earning him first-team All-Conference honors in the highly competitive Empire 8 Athletic Conference.

Fasolo graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Utica University. His dedication to both academics and athletics continues as he contributes to the Utica University baseball program as a coach, helping to develop the next generation of players.
