The Utica Blue Sox delivered an impressive performance against the Boonville Lumberjacks, securing a dominant victory with a final score of 13-5 last night. 

The Blue Sox showcased their offensive prowess with a total of 13 runs on 13 hits, overpowering the Lumberjacks throughout the game. Standout performances from players like Jayden Ohmer, Trace Hartman, and Nick O’Connor fueled the team’s success, driving in key runs and setting the tone for the game.

 The Blue Sox wasted no time asserting their dominance, O’Conner blasted a two-run homer to start a six-run fourth inning, which included an RBI single from Ohmer to give Utica a 6-2 lead. Hartman hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to extend the Blue Sox’s lead.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Blue Sox’s pitching delivered a solid performance, holding the Lumberjacks to just five runs on seven hits. Thomas Roefaro, Nick Hios, Andrew George and Charlie Collins all showcased their pitching prowess, effectively shutting down the Lumberjacks’ offense. Cole Moore sealed the deal for the Blue Sox by striking out the side in the final frame to secure the victory. 

Utica takes on the All-Stars Acadamy back at home tonight at 6:45.
