Blue Sox Sign Seth Higdon for 2022

Breaking News

UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica Blue Sox announced Saturday the signing of Seth Higdon, a right handed pitcher from Odessa, Texas. Higdon is currently a junior at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he is studying accounting.

Higdon began playing baseball around four years old starting out with tee ball. His father and grandfather were the two who really got him into the game of baseball.

Since being in college one thing that stood out to Higdon the most was last season being a part of his JUCO team that made it to super regionals. Higdon said this was a really cool experience and some of the most fun he’s had in baseball.

After college Higdon hopes to keep playing ball. His goal is to get drafted so he can keep playing, and competing for as long as he can. After baseball Higdon is pursuing a career as an accountant and hopes to secure his CPA in the near future.

Higdon chose the Blue Sox organization because he felt that Utica, and the PGCBL gave him the best opportunity to play high level baseball in the summer. As well as carrying on the Blue Sox tradition of a winning organization.
