UTICA, N.Y.—The Utica Blue Sox announced on Wednesday the signing of Ryan Cook, a 6’3 RHP from nearby Whitesboro.
Cook, the son of Bob Cook- the owner of the Field of Dreams Sports Complex in Utica and former professional baseball player, is finishing off his senior year with Whitesboro High School and committed to continue his career at Central Connecticut State.
The lanky righty was selected as a Rawlings Pre-Season Northeast Region All-American Honorable Mention.
Cook’s brother, Avery, is in his redshirt sophomore season with Purdue. There is no doubt that Cook hails from a baseball family.
