UTICA, N.Y.—The Utica Blue Sox announced the addition of a fourth catcher, Will King, on Tuesday to round out the 2022 roster. King just concluded his sophomore season for Eastern Kentucky in the ASUN Conference.
King, a New York City native, played his high school ball at IMG Academy in Florida before joining Eastern Kentucky, where his presence has been felt. King hit a solid .313 this season with 11 homers and 60 RBI in 59 games played. He also threw out 11 base runners on the year.
The Blue Sox season kicks off on June 3rd, with the home opener at 6:45 the next night.
