UTICA, N.Y.—The Utica Blue Sox announced on Sunday the signing of Matty Clark, an outfielder from Arizona University.
Clark redshirted this season for the Wildcats and will be making the trip to Utica as one of the more highly touted prospects the club has had in recent history.
Coming out of high school, the Upland, California native was ranked the fourth best outfield prospect in the state of California. One of the reasons for this ranking is an outfield velocity of 87 MPH. He also suited up for the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2020 MLB Area Code Games.
The Blue Sox season kicks off on June 3rd, with the home opener at 6:45 the next night.
