UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica Blue Sox announced Saturday the signing of Andrew Smithson, a Freshman from Central Connecticut State University. Smithson is a left handed pitcher from Andover, Maryland. 

As only a freshman Smithson has yet to make an appearance for the Blue Devils this season. Smithson has outstanding talent and will look to make a big impact for his team in the near future however. 

In high school Smithson was a key factor in his teams success, leading his team to a deep run in the Connecticut state tournament as a senior last season. The Blue Sox are extremely excited to see what Smithson will bring to the locker room this upcoming season.
