Jack Bono enters his sixth season as head coach of the Junior Blue Sox in 2027 and his third at the Senior Legion level. Since taking over in 2022, Bono has helped build the program into a consistent contender, highlighted by two District V Championships, the 2024 New York State Junior Legion Championship, and a regional final four finish. In 2026, Bono guided the Blue Sox to a 13-8 record and the first Senior Legion District V Championship in program history. The team led the league with a .345 batting average and advanced to the NYS Tournament. Under Bono, the Blue Sox have hit over .300 as a team in five consecutive seasons.
Trey Szatko enters his fourth season with the Junior Blue Sox program in 2027. Szatko works primarily with the team's infielders and serves as the third-base coach. During his time with the program, Szatko has been part of two District V Championship teams and the 2024 New York State Junior Legion Championship. In addition to his role with the Blue Sox, Szatko serves as the Head Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Proctor High School.
Dom Fasolo enters his fourth season as a Junior Blue Sox assistant coach in 2027 and his second at the Senior Legion level. Fasolo also served as an assistant coach with the PGCBL Utica Blue Sox in 2025 before returning to the Junior Blue Sox program in 2026. As the team’s hitting coach, Fasolo has helped develop one of the program’s strengths. The 2024 State Championship team hit .330 with a .457 on-base percentage, while setting program records with 263 hits and 190 RBIs. In 2026, the Blue Sox led District V with a .345 team batting average, helping the team capture its first Senior Legion District Championship in program history and advance to the NYS Tournament.
Josh Duval enters his third season with the Junior Blue Sox program in 2027. Duval works with the players at all positions, with a primary focus on the team's catchers and outfielders. During his time with the program, the Blue Sox have been consistent defensively in the outfield and behind the plate. Duval has been part of the Blue Sox staff during the program's transition to Senior Legion, including the 2026 District V Championship and trop to the NYS Tournament. In addition to his role with the Blue Sox, Duval serves as an assistant baseball coach at Utica University.
