Utica Blue Sox Change Division

The Utica Blue Sox, formerly the Utica Brewers, will compete in their fifth season in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League this year. The Blue Sox became the 2016 PGCBL Western Division Champions last year, carrying high hopes going into 2017 a part of a new division.

With an uneven number of teams in its two-division format this past summer, the West Division had one more team than the East. The Blue Sox were considered to be the easternmost West team in the PGCBL.

The Western Division will consist of 7 teams including the Adirondack Trail Blazers, Elmira Pioneers, Geneva Red Wings, Jamestown Jammers, Newark Pilots, Onondaga Flames and the Victor Rail Riders.

The Eastern Division will be composed of the Utica Blue Sox, Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs, Albany Dutchmen, Glens Falls Dragons, Saugerties Stallions, Oneonta Outlaws and Amsterdam Mohawks.
